ROBERT DALE BSc(Hons) CEMDipFM FRICS FBEng RMaPS PARTNER
"I love the teamwork in delivering a project, but relish the knowledge that our singular input is making a real difference."
Robert Dale
Work and Clients:
Robert, a Partner since 1999, mainly works from the Norwich Office which he has been managing since 1995. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Chartered Building Surveyor, he has a very broad range of experience across many procurement routes, building types and industry sectors. He has particular experience in fast-track procurement routes and cost planning.
Before DCP:
Educated at Gresham's School, Holt and the University of Reading, Robert joined Robinson Low Usherwood & Roods as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor where he qualified before joining his father's practice Dale & Co. Robert joined Allatson & Dabbs in Norwich as an Associate in 1995 at the time when the Daniel Connal Partnership merged with them as part of their expansion in East Anglia.
Fellow of:
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
Association of Building Engineers.
Member of:
Registered CDM Co-ordinator of the Association of Project Safety.
Proudest Professional Moment:
Becoming a Partner of DCP and everytime a project comes in within budget.
Most Embarrassing Professional Moment:
Not known for my tidy desk policy, the only room for a set of drawings while working at Robinson Low was balanced on top of a waste-paper bin. Leaving for the evening, Robert returned to find the cleaner had thrown the whole set away. Embarrassed calls to the rest of the design team followed.
Interests outside work:
Robert has a wife Emma and three children Tilly, Tom and Alice, with whom he loves playing in the garden and watching perform on stage and on the sports field. He enjoys cycling whether commuting to work, family rides or occasionally longer endurance rides. Robert plays hockey for an Old Greshamian casual team and convinces himself he has not quite hung up his rugby boots but can not remember the last time he played.
