The Daniel Connal Partnership were commissioned to provide a one-stop design, project and cost management service for the construction of a new music teaching facility for a large secondary boys school in the voluntary aided sector. The architectural design was carried out by our in-house architectural department with assistance from external structural and services engineers. The site is in a Conservation Area and the school buildings are Listed Grade II. Through close consultation with the local Conservation and Planning Officers we obtained planning consent for this new building on a sensitive site.
With the experience we were able to bring to this project coupled with our knowledge of DfES requirements we were able to provide the School with a new building providing first class music teaching facilities. The professional services we provided ensured the project was delivered within budget and without design compromises.
