Daniel Connal Partnership was commissioned to establish the viability of providing a new Ultra Clean Theatre Suite at Colchester District General Hospital to enable improved delivery of the orthopaedic services of Essex Rivers Healthcare Trust.

We had numerous factors to take into consideration, including the need to maintain the existing theatres, recovery, and other functions operational at all times, together with the fact that we would be working adjacent a sterile environment. We also had to take into account the limitations imposed by the existing structure and loading capacity and the limited time frame within which to deliver the theatre.
