Project Management
- thinking ahead, minimising risk

A smooth running project that finishes on-time, to specification, and within budget is everyone’s dream. But projects are full of uncertainties and unidentified risks, and are staffed by people with differing ideas on what the priorities should be.

We believe that projects needn’t be like this. By foreseeing potential problems, we cut out a high proportion of the risk factors. By utilising risk management procedures, we can exercise better control on costs. Our project managers are leaders. They are people who give everyone a voice, so that issues in every discipline get flagged up early. They have exceptional levels of knowledge developed through many years of practical experience. They can successfully lead a team of people with different agendas towards a single goal.

This experience of our own projects combined with that in Dispute Resolution for others provides a sound foundation for our risk management services. We are sometimes appointed independently from the other professional team members solely to provide that valuable service.

Our expertise in the key risk areas of cost, procurement and programme management has been recognised through regular project monitoring commissions from a wide range of financial institutions. We protect the client’s interest by identifying and advising on the risks associated with acquiring an interest in a development that is not under the Client’s direct control. However, we also aim to support the developer and the construction team through a risk management process for the benefit of all and the ultimate success of the project.

We strongly support the concept of partnering and believe that, through a collaborative approach between everyone in the supply chain, many of the issues arising between parties that disrupt progress can be avoided.
